Just came out of my doctors office after having a physical. She discussed my blood test results with me and said that it showed high levels of triglycerides and electrolydes in my liver ? Can anyone explain to me what this means? My doctor tried explaining it but I didn't quite get it. I know it has something to do with me being over wieght. If Anyone can explain it to me I will be so graceful. A
Im a 17 year old girl with high cholesterol and i was wondering if this means that I already have a buildup of plaque in my arteries? Because i hear that plaque develops over years but if i just got high cholesterol this year then is it possible that I have developed little to no plaque?
my mom has hypertension so she avoids any food that is high in cholesterol??
I used an at home kit that showed my total cholesterol was 149, HDL 67, LDL 49, and triglycerides 154. I know the HDL and LDL levels are good, but the triglycerides are generally considered borderline high. Everywhere seems to state that high triglycerides and low HDL are correlated, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
My mother is 49years old and she cannot exercise because she is disabled with cancer and has to keep an oxygen tank around her at all times. She attends to eat a lot of eggs and beans. and other spanish food which I believe it isn't helping her. So I'm asking to please give me a good diet for my mother. what would be best for her to eat? to Lower Cholesterol. Thank you! God Bless.
to avoid heart disease how to maintain blood cholesterol?

Just kind of worried because I just had my cholesterol checked and my LDL was 19 and my total cholesterol was 83I am a 25 year old female. I had blood drawn at my doctors office and they sent the blood to lab quest. It also said the results were verified twice on the report I received.
